ANALYSIS OF FRESCO AND SECO ARTWORK ON TOMBS IN HYDERABAD SINDH PAKISTAN

This research work is related to analysis of the artwork on the Abbasi (Kalhora) and Talpur tombs in Hyderabad city of Sindh, Pakistan. The purpose of research is designed to understand the visual vocabulary, mediums, materials, tools and technique used for the work of Fresco and Seco paintings. The research study would also critically examine the past and present the state of fresco art work in present Sindh. Further the study will analyze aesthetical and compositional aspects of the interior and exterior decoration of the tombs. The research is based upon SOWT
Analyses Model by conducting it under survey and case study methods. The data collection was made about style of fresco and seco, shapes, composition, method, masonry work, architectural plan and environmental aspects of the tombs. The finding of the study showed that artwork in fresco and seco mediums surface painting on walls of the tombs had been made traditionally. The study should have positive and significant impact about the past and present state of fresco and seco artwork in Sindh land. It provided the information and details of certain aspects of buildings
and tombs about the architectural plan, styles of fresco and seco, shapes composition, method, masonry and weather. The application of the study should be related to the study of the tombs and monuments in featuristic studies. It shall be imperative to use the information gathered and the research-based document by the researchers, academicians,
historiographers and policymakers forth with.
