Abstract

Accessing online resources is crucial nowadays for any purpose of study. This research focuses on SBK women’s university Quetta where women are in the lead to study. The objective of the study was to find out the
problems faced by research students in accessing online resources. The study was descriptive in nature and was comprising of quantitative method. As the research was a case study population was students and teachers of SBK women’s university Quetta 1 departments, 196 students and 14 teachers were selected through simple random sampling. 5 Likert scale self-administered questionnaire was used, and data was analyzed through SPSS using descriptive statics and frequencies. The major findings were lack of utilization, lack of knowledge regarding types of online resources, common problems and barriers like Shut down of electric power, sluggish internet connectivity, irrelevant materials and payment for materials available on internet, complicated information which is difficult to access, language barriers. Seminars, workshops and sessions should be held for students on utilization of online resources which can help them to overcome the problem of accessing online resources.
