Abstract

The skills enhancing program reshape the capacity of human needs for better future and for the economic 
development. Study proposed to compare the NAVTTC trainees and PSDF trainee’s academic performance. The 
study highlights the effectiveness and impact of these two influential training programs in Pakistan. The study 
nature was quantitative with simple descriptive survey research method. All technical and vocational institutions 
that were situated in Lahore were considered as the population. Through multistage random technique of sampling, 
selection of sample was taken i.e. 100 students. Self-constructed questionnaire was utilized to collect the views of 
trainees. Experts validate the questionnaire and reliability was measured i.e. 0.89. For the purpose of analysis, 
descriptive (mean and standard deviation) and inferential analysis (regression) run by SPSS. The findings revealed 
that NAVTTC Trainees has no significant impact on CGPA (β=.040, p.370). Further, the findings revealed that 
PSDF Trainees has significant impact on CGPA (β=.041, p.370). Thus, it is recommended to conduct a longitudinal 
study to track long-term career outcomes of vocational training
