INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERSHIP AND INTRINSIC MOTIVATION ARE THE PREDICTOR OF JOB PERFORMANCE: AN EMPIRICAL STUDY

In Modern era, the educational sector is considered as business organizations where the leaders motivate the
academic faculty for the enhancement of their performance so that the organizational objectives can be
accomplished successfully. This study investigates instructional leadership and intrinsic motivation as predictor of
job performance. 286 teachers were administered through simple random sampling technique as sample from
Lahore. The structured questionnaires were administered for the data collection through a survey method. For data
analysis, the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) was used according to the research questions which were
proposed in this study. The findings of the study indicated that instructional leadership and intrinsic motivation play
a vital role for the enhancement of job performance. Moreover, there was a significant effect of instructional
leadership and intrinsic motivation on job performance. Additionally, instructional leadership had more effect on
job performance as compared to intrinsic motivation. This study is beneficial to adopt the new managerial strategies
and techniques for the development of job performance of academic faculty through motivation
